I love Bangladesh

I was really overwhelmed and at the same time shocked to read the letter "India bashing, now what"(october11, 2004). I'm very happy to know that the writer has passion for our neighbour, India. The writer expressed her deep grief and hatred against the audacious (?) columnist and writers who criticised India!

Well, I blame neither the FM, nor the columnist and writers. However, Bangladesh is the worst sufferer. During the dry season, it suffers from scarcity of water and during rainy season from floodwater. How can I deny the truth? I'm not blind! I don't blame India either. India is our good friend. A good friend is always entertaining. Indian TV channels give me non-stop entertainment.

Still the entertainers don't get tired of restless dancing and singing (?).Who else will serve and entertain me the way they do? India is our friend, but it would have been better if the country was friendlier with us on some important issues. We need a permanent solution so that our Bangladesh does not get submerged by floodwater every year. It's a crying need . The value of aid or consolation is minimal here.

She wrote, "Shame on Bangladesh". I wonder what made her write such things against her motherland. Yes, it's a shame for us that we don't respect our own country!
