The daily soaps which are aired in different Indian channels, especially the ones aired in the famous channel Star Plus, have earned much popularity these days. Women top the list of the admirers of these serials which actually do not have any particular story line. The writers of these serials perhaps write the story keeping in the mind the common audience demand. So, we can watch in these serials a person getting his/her face changed after plastic surgery very easily. We can see a dead person alive after a few months of his death. The hero and heroine of almost every serial get married more than twice and most soaps are based on the story of intrigues and counter-intrigues and extramarital relationship of different characters. These daily soaps are really unrealistic and products of uncreative minds. They become more unrealistic when the women are seen cooking in kitchen or doing other household works with full make-up on the face and heavy, expensive, and gorgeous dresses on.

A woman who plays the role of a sixty year old grandmother looks not more than forty. Thus, it is understandable what creative value these serials have and what impact they are creating on women and children in Bangladesh, where people love to grasp foreign culture without giving a second thought.
