Indigenous people

Under ritualistic regularity, this year too we have observed the international indigenous day with a lip-service to the pledge of materialising all fundamental rights of these people.

In the last two years, we have noticed, some influential quarters have tried to encroach upon their lands and homesteads; the state has evicted them from their places, and to crown it all, it has failed to mete out justice. It could be because of our attitude towards these people. We are not capable of placing the issue in right perspective.
