Inside New Market
I had the privilege to visit Dhaka New Market after a long time when it became a must for me and I could not have skipped. I was startled to see the people inside it and their number has increased to a large extent. It is a market and of course you do expect people to gather here for buying the necessities. But what really hurt me was the people with motorcycles inside the market and going with quite a good speed. Another thing, which could not be neglected, was the street Romeos. They were passing remarks at every girl or woman who passed besides them and some of the remarks were beyond tolerance. I have been to so many places in the world and never found or seen such rascals roaming inside the market where you find it difficult to go to shopping with your wife, sister or daughter. These guys are relentless and they are quite large in number.
So many different police teams have been deployed to improve law and order. Can't we expect to have a better situation in Dhaka New Market?
