IPM election-2006

Meanwhile, it is evident from the letters I have so far received from the fellow-members centring this year's Executive Council election that IPM is not in a good health. It must have been attacked by the contagious election fever! Surprisingly, the Election Commissioner (EC) appointed earlier was removed by the Executive Council in May 2006 declaring all his decisions regarding election plus ballot papers sent by him null and void. A new EC was appointed and a fresh election schedule was announced. Mentionable that all the voters will cast their votes through postal ballots.

Now the point is, if the ballot is mailed by the voters under registered cover then how can the name of the voter be kept secret since the sender has to indicate his name and address on the envelop for sending a registered letter.
