Israel issue
Israel cannot be termed an illegal state because if fighting for a land to establish a state by outstripping others from their land and rights can be termed illegitimate then Bangladesh is also an illegal state (!) as we drove away the Pakistanis during our liberation war. After all, to achieve something by force war is the only option. Correct me if I am wrong.
If we Muslims are sympathetic towards the Palestinians and their cause, then in my opinion all the Muslim states should recognise and maintain healthy diplomatic relations with Israel, just as we have with the US, and stop accepting those rotten peace plans endorsed by the EU and the US. Stop supporting parties that sponsor groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and nations like Iran, Syria who support and fund these groups and openly call for destruction of Israel.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Unless we do that, a free and stable Palestine will never be a reality and Israel is going to attack its neighbours on the flimsiest of grounds and in the name of protecting its interests as it is doing right now.
Palestinians have been showing a rare brand of bravery in fighting the illegal Israel for quite a long time. Israel, being a mighty military power, has been inflicting inhuman miseries on the Palestinians. Palestinians, on the other hand, have to protect themselves from the wolves in all possible ways, though they are no match for the oppressors in terms of power.
The brave Palestinians, though friendless in the face of a huge predicament, do not just give up their sacrifice is for their land, their dignity and their very existence the valiant act deserves respect, sympathy and support from the humanity at large.
We salute the brave Palestinians who are fighting the evil force for their survival.
