Israel issue

It seems to me that Mr. Sameer didn't get to understand what I was trying to say. The lame excuses he made for not recognising the state are obsolete. What is Mr. Sameer's point that having one oppressor is better than two? I would like to make it clear why a poor nation like Bangladesh should or should I say must have ties with Israel. Israel is one of the richest countries with modern science and technology. Almost 50% of Israel exports are tech based products. Bangladesh can benefit tremendously from Israeli investment and technical know-how in all fields.

No wonder, Pakistan has taken a bold step for establishing ties with Israel amid strong opposition at home. Though the oil rich Gulf States, except Qatar, do not have any diplomatic relations with Israel most of them are eager to have ties with Israel. So they extended their businesses by directly or indirectly investing in Israel. All these explain how Israel is important in the world arena today.

I hope Mr. Sameer will consider these things before taking any position.
