JU admission test
My write up is about the lengthy system of the 'admission test' of Jahangirnagar University which usually takes more than one month in conducting the examinations and preparing the results. Jahangirnagar University has shown its efficiency by holding the admission test for the academic year 2004-2005 very early. But what I want to draw your attention to is the lackadaisical process of conducting examinations. The examinations continue for about a fortnight while the classes remain suspended. The more disappointing thing is that even after holding the admission test, the teachers have to remain busy with the process for at least another two weeks. So the extra pressure on the teachers affects the academic life in the university. The teachers cannot take the classes though they are not reluctant to do so.
The university authorities should look into the matter and find some way to avoid disruption of academic activities in the university.
