Karail fire victims
Mr. Fakhrul Alam's letter (DS 10 March) paints a gloomy picture of help rendered to the victims. However, from personal knowledge I know that members of Rotary Club Gulshan along with Rotaract Club of Gulshan, Inner Wheel Club of Gulshan and Gulshan Ladies Community Club have done and are doing whatever little bit they can in cash and kind to help the fire victims.
As an immediate step, Gulshan Rotary Club provided medical assistance to over thirty-five injured and suffering persons on 5th March. They also have some longer term plans for homestead rebuilding, supply of books and other assistance as needed.
