Karnaphuli Bridge
The news on ntv prompts me to write in this column of your daily. Other reactions appeared in other dailies too, but the administration seems keen to have this bridge on the Karnaphuli river. Big political promises of tunnel etc. remained as utopian projects, and none became a reality. At last in April'04 the PM laid the long promised foundation of 3rd Karnaphuli Bridge.
The dilly dallying in building the bridge is a mystery. It is hoped that it will be built with a sense of urgency to improve communication in the Chittagong region.
