Keep the city clean

The DCC has launched a programme to keep the city clean. This deserves appreciation. But thousands of tons of wastes are accumulated every day. Therefore no casual programme will be effective enough. Routine programmes without any discontinuation have to be launched.

The city now looks more beautiful as the road islands have been beautified with flowery bushes. It has got its facial beauty. But facial beauty is not proof of good health. Facial beauty fades if there is ailment within the body. Roadside drains have been filled up. These require to be cleaned thoroughly. The authorities have become serious about recovering the city "canals" from the land grabbers and have also achieved partial success.

We hope they will simultaneously march forward with their programmes to keep the city clean.
