Learn from them

The just concluded Indian election shows that we are nowhere near the Indians. Indians nominated Sonia Gandhi as the next prime minister of India. It was not expected and almost everyone was sure that Vajpayee would be elected for another term, but the results have been different. After Sonia Gandhi won, Vajpayee resigned as prime minister and other ministers also accepted the results happily. But what happen in our country is just the opposite-- if the BNP wins and the AL loses, it says that the EC was in favour of the BNP. That also happened when the BNP couldn't come to power-- it blamed the EC . Whatever is the situation in India, the opposition parties don't call general strike to remove the government, what they do is attend parliament and wait for the election to come.

What we should learn from them is not to call hartal frequently and attend parliament as Sonia Gandhi did when her party was in the opposition.
