Monga: What are we doing?
From my childhood I'm hearing about this monga quite perennially. But no govt, neither Awami League nor BNP, even not Ershad, did anything substantial about this problem. I don't understand what's the difficulty in addressing such a humanitarian issue. Now I understand that this government has to do nothing, but to care a little to declare the monga as a national disaster.
There are a good number of international organisations, as well as foreign governments to care about this. But our wise (!) govt has to come forward to address the issue.
