Movement in Nepal

The movement against King Gyanendra to restore democracy is expression of public opinion against monarchy. People from all walks of life politicians, journalists, professionals, government servants and workers event the judges of the Supreme Court-- are participating in the current movement.

To my mind, this is basically not a democratic movement.

Similar movements were also seen in Georgia though it did not succeed. Election is the only democratic process through which the existing leadership can be changed.
