"My heart bleeds"
My heart bleeds too , as Mr. Delwar Hossain's (DS July 01,'05), but surprisingly no one cares in Bangladesh. They go on voting for the most corrupt people who have the muscle and money and send them to parliament which they hardly attend and if they do they cannot play any role!
But it was no shame for Bidisha (only because she is a woman) being shuttled to and from court or jail. I feel ashamed of our journalist friends who gave such great importance to these events.
If women could marry someone while having another husband, could correspond and negotiate secretly with foreigners and operate bank accounts of dubious nature at home and abroad, I am obliged to question if we live in a civilised society bound by statutory laws! Strange is this country of ours!
