New education system
The government has decided to introduce a new educational system from January 2006 in which the students of class 8 are going to study under a new curriculum in class 9, which I think it is a good decision. In this system the students will have to study every discipline of knowledge including science, commerce and arts. Nowadays class 9 students take one of the three groups, namely, science, commerce and arts. The science group students do not learn anything about commerce. For that matter they do not know anything about political science or geography or history either. The proposed system will, I am sure, broaden their knowledge. Moreover, this is the era of trade and commerce. Students who have a BBA or an MBA degree find good jobs easily. So more students take commerce as their honours subject. Conversely those who are from science or arts group, find it difficult to take up BBA/MBA, which would not be the case if they had some idea about commerce.
I feel the new modified system will work very well for the students.
