Occasional bus riders
My sympathy as well as support is with Mr H Hyder and other victims. Occasional bus riders and commuters strongly feel that something should be done by the communications ministry to change and improve the modus operandi of the Dhaka Bus Owners Association. The association is shy to think about it. A couple of years ago, during a visit to Chittagong I found all local bus conductors issuing a ticket for the fare they charged. If they could do that in Chittagong, why can't they do so in the capital city under the communications ministry's nose?
Non-issuance of tickets against bus fares has been creating chaos and confusion. A letter from the ministry to the bus owners could make all the difference.
