One-child family
The long-term psychological implications of one isolated child may be examined carefully (plenty of documentation available).
Adjustment experience amongst peer-level mixing (aggression, defence, social etiquette, etc) has to be taken into consideration from my own experience (10 years) of observing a single child in families. I feel the awareness programme for limiting the family to two children (for companionship) may be followed. Peculiar emotional syndromes have been noted in a single child.
Shallow-thinking in policy-making is not in public interest.
