One full year?

An American soldier has been sentenced to "one year" in prison for abusing Iraqi prisoners and committing crimes against humanity. This is pathetically, outrageously shocking! One year for abusing some Arabs and Muslims? That's not fair. Three months in an extra-light-security prison would have been okay, but one full year for abusing some Muslims? They are Muslims, what's the big deal? Come on, what happened to American justice?

On behalf of this unfortunate soldier, and on the ground of unfair trial, I protest and demand the sentence be reduced to three months immediately. This trial clearly wasn't fair since there wasn't any neutral/international third party. Bush and his warmongers are being so unfair with our hard-working, bunker-busting, perverting (sorry, that was a slip) lean, mean killing-machines. One full year? Gee, I am outraged.
