An open letter to the mayor
Being the Mayor of the Dhaka City Corporation, I am sure you maintain the habit of frequently visiting different parts of the city to see for yourself the actual plight of the city and its dwellers. Well, next time, when you travel through the Mirpur Road, please make a brief stop-over at College-gate to see for yourself how the huge garbage container of your esteemed corporation is polluting the environment of that place, thereby making the entrance passage of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Agricultural Training Institute, and some important government hospitals extremely odious.
On several occasions in the past we tried to draw the attention of your corporation through various means. But none came to remove the garbage container which daily accepts not only normal refuge but poisonous hospital wastes.
Please do something about it.
