Pakshi Bridge
Ninety per cent of its work has already been complete and hopefully the most modern Pakishi Bridge will be ready for inauguration in April, 2004. My earnest request to the prime minister is that she invite the opposition leader, Sheikh Hasina, on the inauguration day. Hasina is the one who laid the foundation stone about three years back and her government arranged the project funds.
If for any reason Sheikh Hasina cannot come to the function, the prime minister may, at least, mention Hasina's contribution in the inaugural speech. Somebody has to start somewhere to show greatness of leadership and this is a good opportunity for the ruling alliance.
