PO boxes not developing!

For more than five years, I have been trying to hire a new Post office Box at one of the POs in Dhaka city; but each time I am told none was available (no vacancy). How many years more I have to wait for this priceless jewel which money cannot hire?

Like other development projects (the population is not static!), the number of post boxes at each existing PO may be increased at roughly ten per cent per annum or every two years, depending on the demand monitoring. The capital and recurring costs are not high, hence the peculiar attitude of the postal authorities is not clear.

It is rather strange that this issue has to be brought to public attention. It appears we have to live with a 'relaxed' bureaucracy.
