Poor BTTB maintenance

I find that in my locality (Mohammadpur) the BTTB fixed telephone overhead lines (flexible wires) installed from the street poles to the subscribers' buildings around are erected at too low a height, with the result that some high-rise loaded trucks snap some bunches of wires frequently. That causes interruption of service for a few days (never restored in one single day). Frequently, I have found one end of the torn telephone wires lying on the streets.

Surely, the BTTB is following some national or international standards during construction and installation of telephones to ensure safety and maintenance efficiency. Now the BTTB has to compete with the private sector in fixed and mobile telephone networks. Lower costs are not enough, without superior service performance.
