Private security services
It is very unfortunate that the private security service companies that are now working in different parts of the country are not always found to be efficient. The recent burglary at a jewellery shop in the city indicates how incompetent this private security service is. These security servicesaregrowing like mushrooms all over the country, but they don't have proper operational guidelines. We understand that in a country like Bangladesh, which has a serious unemployment problem, some poor people are having their livelihood by working as private security guards. But on theother hand, due to the negligence of some corrupt people this business has now become a mere money-making proposition , endangering the lives and property of the people who have deployed the security services. We hope that the government would formulate a policy for these private security service companies, so that they can perform their duties with a lot more efficiency and honesty.
