We were reading Slate and Jack Shafer's article on Judith Miller. He says that Miller had a problem of faulty reporting. Judith Miller wrote many articles for the New York Times and many journalists blame her for promoting war. In the recent report by Pete Yost (AP writer), Miller refuses to disclose information to U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. Judith Miller presents contradiction. There are organisations in the US that encourage the people for watching out for faulty reporting and hegemonic press for Journalism and Democracy. The other important question that arises is that is there really confidentiality in the US? " Journalists are not entitled to promise complete confidentiality---no one in America is", Fitzgerald wrote. What is confidentiality, privacy and freedom? and does it really matter in our modern world of science and technology where computers and cell phones (brain damage) are taking over normal human existence? We must continue to question what is human rights and freedom? Technology, weapons and war? ETV also presented views on privacy in April 2005. We must search for the truth and for respect and privacy rights. Is there such a thing as complete confidentiality? Why isn't there any complete confidentiality and why do we need privacy rights? Caroline Kennedy also wrote on the rights to privacy.
