A query to our two major political parties
Transparency International (TI) properly assessed Bangladesh as the top corrupt country of the world. It is the glorious (?) outcome of our two major political parties, BNP and Awami League. A couple of days back the DS arranged a roundtable on "Our changing bureaucracy: The last 12 years". Most of the discussants emphasised on the politicisation of bureaucracy and its effects. Actually this the root cause of all evils. When the bureaucracy is politicised it is bound to work under political influence.
In the last 12 the years we have seen two governmnets who have termed and claimed themselves as democratic -- the BNP and Awami League. My query to them is do they want to re-establish their own styles of governance and re-obtain the title of most corrupt country of the globe as have been gained for three consecutive years?
