RAB

It does not need an endorsement from IT for the local citizens to confirm the levels of corruption, violence, criminal acts, and violence thriving in Bangladesh these days.

The latest news is the cold blooded murder by sea pirates of 14 fisherman in a trawler in the Bay for a mere Taka 1.5 lakh. Now there are allegations (DS Oct 29) against RAB for aiding party feuds and fights. Money is the mother of all evils, aided conveniently through political shielding. Even the high academic field is invested (the reports of the worst type of sectarianism and hate factories.

There is no protection anywhere, in or out of the playing field. Even the spectators of (of gang fights) are targets. Life has become so cheap, that the regulators has ceased to bother about preserving it. The security measures are enjoying full freedom!

What is the use of listening to the speeches of the politicians, who have become useless for public service, whether in power or out of it? Which institution can stand on its own these days? The political naming game (DS Oct 29) has reached ludicrous levels--there is some sadistic pleasure in hanging names by the roadsides! Why the name of, say, BNP is not changed--based on the current philosophy?

Where are we going, or where are we coming from? Foraging foreign wild elephants are being intentionally electrocuted (DS Oct 29). Black-marketing is highest during the pious Ramadan season, while the caretakers go about in full cosmetic attire.

Conclusion: politics has failed. No ifs and buts. Prepare for the last rites!
