Ramna Park
Everyday a large number of people -- children, young, adult, and old-- come to Ramna Park for some fresh air and exercise. They come in the morning, midday, afternoon and evening when the weather is good. We now find that after a long time the Park managers have started some repair/renovation work which is praiseworthy. The walkways are being widened and some new walkways are being built for the benefit of the people. The boundary wall is also being repaired.
I would request them to do something about the following:
There are many electric lights within the Park. But most of these lights do not function . Consequently, a very large area of the Park remains in total darkness at night. Many people who come in the evening for a walk do not feel safe in those areas due to insufficient light. Steps should be taken to check all the light posts and ensure proper functioning of the lights.
