Recreation allowance
At present all government employees get a recreation allowance equivalent to one month's salary after every three years but a few officers on contract service are not allowed this allowance even after three years of contract service, which is totally unfair, unjust and illogical. If regular employees are entitled to this privilege what is the logic of depriving the officers on contract after completion of three years. Obviously, the number of such officers is very few. Hence the financial involvement is very little.
I appeal to the Ministry of Finance to look into the matter and allow officers who are on contract service for at least three years to draw recreation allowance.
