This letter refers to Justice Latifur Rahman's rejoinder appeared in the DS on 02, December.

Has it been wise for the former head of a care-taker government to take such an unusual step of sending such a rejoinder which can make it obvious that the Hon'ble ex. Chief Justice acted in a partisan manner as if he represented a political party? This rejoinder lacks the neutrality theoretically required from a head (ex) of the care-taker administration. He could have remained silent like Justice Shahabuddin did under pressures and allegations and that would have been more appropriate and befitting on his part. It was also probably wrong to consider himself like an ordinary citizen of the country with such experience. This would possibly set a bad example and nothing else.
