Religious militancy

Surrounded by India, a powerful non Muslim state, and other smaller non Muslim states like Myanmar, Nepal & having China, USA, EU, Japan as allies Muslim militancy very unlikely will ever get hold in Bangladesh.

It may ruffle a few feathers but Geographically or Economically Bangladesh or its people till now do not have anything significant to offer to the Muslim fundamentalists. So whose bell this so-called militants are really ringing? They may be well organised, yes, but lack everything else. My apprehensions are that they are only used as pawns by shrewd 'operators' right here in this country.

Police are psychologically well equipped to fight it out to the roots. So spend a little more to train the Police. It is really surprising in modern times that we have to turn to the military every time a bomb is found, small or large.

It is also about time we begin having security specialists & advisors from the civilians. Let us turn to India , The USA,UK, etc for example, not Pakistan, Nigeria or Indonesia. Sorry Gen Amin it might be tense but not out of hand, the situation does not call for a "War Council" or a "Security Council". Absolutely not.
