Retirement Age

The government may enhance retirement age to 60 years like other SAARC countries-- India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The age limit for entry to government service was 25, then 27 and now 30 years. But the retirement age is still 57 years. It is unreasonable and unjustified.

Judges of the Supreme Court and teachers of universities are enjoying service benefits up to the age of 65 years . So why cannot government service be extended up to 60 years?

The government should pay due attention to this legitimate demand instead of employing bureaucrats on contract-basis.
