Almost all the newspapers of Bangladesh including yours are carrying news of diarrhoeal outbreaks in Bangladesh. Even several deaths have been reported. Yet Bangladesh has ICDDR,B operating on its soil for over four decades. What is this Centre doing with the money when Bangladeshis are dying? That ICDDR,B discovered the oral rehydration solution (ORS) is not true. It was discovered by a Bengalee scientist Dr. H.N. Chatterjee in 1953, fifteen years before the Americans rediscovered it.
