Savar model town
Close to Dhaka , Savar can be a modern model town. This will benefit the people in many ways. The model town will attract a huge number of people from Dhaka city and Tongi areas, thus reducing pressure on them. Dhaka city will be relieved of traffic jam to a great extent. This will help office-goers and the business community . Savar may grow into a metropolitan satellite. My suggestions to modernise Savar are as follows:
Law enforcers have to be posted in greater numbers. There should be more camps. Their presence must give security to the residents. Security of life and property is wanted by people. The Savar municipality has to be upgraded with funds and development programmes (duty audited). The aim of all these is to provide modern amenities. Rajuk must quicken the implementation of Dhaka City Master Plan. Savar should be connected to Dhaka by more highways.
