Shame
The director of Aishwarya Rai starrer Bangla film "Chokher Bali", Rituparno Ghosh has withdrawn his film from the 2nd International Film Festival going on in Bangladesh on the pretext that there is not even a proper projector to show the film in any of the cinema halls. The director also told an Indian news channel that the organisers wanted to show the film with a pirated DVD copy of the film. According to Ghosh, it was not at all expected in a film festival of international standard. I wonder why the organisers did not inform all these beforehand to the director. The withdrawal of a good film by a famous director from our film festival is a shame, indeed.
