Sheikh Hasina's India trip: Indian view
I am an Indian by nationality. In the past few days Bangladesh opposition leader Sheikh Hasina's trip has created a debate. Many readers in turn expressed their views about India. I was amazed to read Mr Hasan Mir's views. India (apart from the USSR) was the only country, which stood by Bangali people in 1971.
Did China send its army? Did Saudi Arabia send aid for Bangali refugees?
In fact, the Saudi representative in the UN tried to interrupt Sardar Swaran Singh (then India foreign minister) while he was pleading for Bangladesh.
