I was really happy & surprised to see the article written by Mr. Abdul Khaleque, ex- I G & Secretary in The Daily Star on the above topic. It is a mere coincidence, since I was thinking about this very sensitive issue for the last few days; in addition to this I am taking class on Criminology, where this topic strikes my mind frequently. This topic becomes sensitive if we consider the degradations in every aspect of our society.

The issue is vital and very much related with the devastation of the society. The juvenile group is a major group of our country & it is high time that we focused our attention on them to make them real human beings; we want to make them powerful nation building blocks. We can consider this group like mud, proper planning & efforts can make them good and sensible citizens. The chapter covering this topic focuses on two major things-- one is related with the root causes of the problem & the other deals with all the propositions of rehabilitation of the delinquent group in society, which is more important than only going for punishment.
