I have been following news, articles and letters published in the DS over the last few days. So far every writer has blamed SQ Chowdhury's candidature as one of the reasons for the defeat and they are happy that he (SQC) has been defeated, knowing well that it is also a defeat of Bangladesh.
It seems something is wrong with SQC's thinking . His comments about Sheikh Hasina and Suranjit Sen Gupta defied all civilised norms and sensitivity.
