SSC level English
I have been practising English of SSC level for two years and teaching some students as a private tutor. I have observed that most of the students are weak in fundamental grammar. So they cannot make sentences. They cannot express their ideas in writing as their writing skill is very poor. Many of them say that they are not taught basic grammar in their schools. But they have to use grammar practically as their course demands.
In these circumstances, it would be better to teach at list basic grammar so that the students can comprehend the functions of grammar.
The syllabus makers may offer a few marks on grammar to inspire them.
