Stop attacks on minorities
In the recent years, many people, especially the minorities, have been subjected to serious threats and assaults in different parts of the country, particularly in the remote village areas where hundreds of incidents have taken place, and unfortunately not even 30% of them have been reported to the authorities. These crimes are committed by unidentified groups known as terrorists / fanatics whose action seems to be inspired by wickedness.
Reports published in the news dailies between the years 2002-2005 say that many incidents of rape, torture, extortion, acid throwing and land grabbing have taken place. The victims of these incidents are apparently scared to report the same to the law enforcement agencies due to fear of repercussion, because sometimes the authorities fail to find clues to the incidents just to avoid any action against the culprits. Ever since all these incidents have taken place, the victims and their families are passing their days in great uncertainty.
We urge the government to ensure security and take the necessary steps to stop attacks on minorities.
