"The Strength Within"
It is undoubtedly an admiring effort of the Daily Star to permit the ANNOUNCMENT on 02-01-04 with the title above. There are many news which reflect on the courage of our citizens upholding the national image and presenting a shining face of Bangladesh but do such initiatives hefts assessed? Lawlessness has crated panic amongst us. Commonwealth Right Initiative (CHRI) has already pegged assign of 12 countries with almost no freedom of information or law, last year! High information means less corruption.
The CHRI report says, "Corruption undermines democracy. It creates a culture of impunity destroying the rules of law and creating a class of overloads who need secrecy to keep their dark deeds hidden in dark place." The Daily Star's success in getting a copy of the report is laudable.
