Tsunami and us

The devastating natural calamity that took hundreds of thousands of lives is now headlines of all the news. It was so pathetic that we don't have any word to mourn the deaths. By sitting in this country what we can do is to send some donations to the affected people. As human beings another thing we can do is to pray for the people who lost their lives and for their departed souls.

Last Friday, I went to a mosque (a renowned one) thinking that we could have a special 'duaa' for the people affected by Tsunami. Before the prayer the Imam was talking about the harshness of nature and telling how helpless we can be after the will of God. But he did not offer any sympathy for the dead or the injured ones, he rather said these were the signs of the Dooms Day. It was a rehearsal of the day before the Day of Judgement. So you should keep yourself away from all the wrongdoing and lead a religious life. Does that mean that all the people who are dead and who are suffering committed great sins?

Can we judge who is a sinner or not?
