TV Eid programmes
Eid Day is a day of celebrations for Muslims. We have two Eids each year. About all the Muslims in our country, rich and poor, expect to spend the day in pleasure. On Eid Day , and the two or three days that follow, people are seen busy going to their relatives and spend some time with them.
Eid being a happy occasion, the BTV as usual, telecasts a series of programmes in the course of two or there days, but the BTV has been telecasting programmes for the last few years during day-time on Eid Day which does not suit the viewers. Because of the programmes during daytime on Eid Day, people cannot go out of their home to meet their relatives. This virtually confines them to their homes.
Eid can really be more enjoyable if the BTV shifts its daytime programmes to night.
