Water logging

We are surprised and disappointed that every year, whoever is the Mayor of Dhaka, DCC is spending crores of taka from the public exchequer for construction and repair of the underground drainage system to clear the stagnant dirty water, but to no use. Why ? Where does all the public money go?

Would the Ministry of LGRD and the DCC kindly let us know for the sake of accountability and transparency as to what amount the DCC has spent area-wise in the fiscal year 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 on road construction and removing water logging?
