Where does the truth lie?

If political principles strive for disrupting, not focusing on analytical appreciation, a country and its people don't attain anything but zilches. When the JMB Leader was detained, it is the Awami League that termed it a staged drama! It sounded bizarre to me. This is the same AL that made un-diplomatic comments that Bangladesh had al-Qaeda links when Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton visited the country. For that reason, the Clinton family cancelled their visits to many places.

Before bombings almost in all districts simultaneously last year, nobody could tell that at least one militant group existed in Bangladesh. For months, all the newspapers were publishing special articles, editorials and commentaries about the issue, raising many questions. No attempt was made to grill then-thought-extremists.

Now, after all the bombings, killings of former finance minister Shah ASM Kibria and many more and the capture of JMB leader, how come it is a staged drama? The AL had declared not to call hartal any more, but did it many times. This is not the best instance of being true to word!

The AL is a big opposition party having a pro-liberation stance. But comments as stated above, will not serve their cause. The recent arrest of JMB leaders including its chief could fetch the BNP great political mileage.
