On the occasion of the Muslim religious festival, Eid ul Azha, almost every institution of the country remains closed for three days. During this period no newspaper is published. Before closing, the newspapers publish a supplementary on this festival. The electronic media, audio and visual both, broadcast various attractive programmes. Some government offices hoist the national flag and the DCC decorates the capital city with colourful flags and lights.

Now, have we ever considered the matter that in Bangladesh there live people who belong to other religions. They have their own religious festivals too. But no activities as such have ever been noticed during their festivals. Why? Do they not also belong to the nation as well?
