WTO : 0.4% trap

What is the use of having the WTO (World Trade Organisation, created by the rich) when the global trading share of the LDCs is only 0.4 per cent of 100% (reduced from 0.7%)? To top it, now, from January 2005, the WFA is going to strangle further the oppressed and half-hungry nations. The IT revolution brought in the Global Village concept, and WTO is bent on disintegrating it.

There are two kinds of pre-emptive strikes: one militarily; and the other economically. How and why this 0.4% have become a cause for alarm for the rich industrialised nations comprising the rest 99.6%, referred to as the North (vs the South or the Third World)? There cannot be any human, humane or humanitarian justice when the yardstick is the mammonish dollar.

When prosperity declines, the ghosts of terrorists multiply. In the modern Western society, the core of the society is no longer the family unit, but stark and naked individualism and materialism. Let your foe stand up before you strike him. That is sportsmanship.

The pressure tactics employed by the affluent countries in the 21st century is to discard the belief in the constant shifting of the economic sine wave, otherwise known as the rise and fall of civilisations. The US, only two centuries later, is facing uncertainty about its standard of future living. It is defying the United Nations, and toying with the Security Council. Insecurity discourages unity (in more sense than one).

EU and Japan are facing sunset years, and Russia is trying to build up a new system of governance. China's foreign affairs base is not yet mature enough to intervene decisively in global affairs. The voices of the rich Muslim nations in the ME is suppressed, internally and externally (wealth and investments locked in the West).
