Zealots at work

My attention has been drawn to a news item published in DS of 21 December under the caption "Ahmadiyya books banned." I have written on previous occasions also that such incidents are like cancer in the society. In recent times a group of "zealots" have emerged who are happy with the killings taking place in the crossfire with Rab. May I ask these zealots as to why Rab is not killing these known "criminals" who are unduly threatening some innocent people whose safety and security are guaranteed by the Constitution as citizens of this country. Who is protecting all these criminals? I would like to ask the people of this country as to how would they feel if a government of some foreign land was to ban the Muslims and their religious books? If it is a question of being non-Muslims then, should we ban the religious books of the Hindus, the Christians and people of other religions living in this country? You cannot do that since you are afraid as they represent greater "strength" in the international community.

It is this kind of mindset combined with several factors which are continually widening the gap of understanding about our religion in the minds of the people in the West.

Being tolerant to people of other faiths is also a core element of our religion. It is indeed sad to see how low we have dragged our great religion.
