7 hurt in Titumir College BCL infighting

At least seven activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student wing of ruling Awami League, are injured in a factional clash at Titumir College in Dhaka.

At least seven activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of ruling Awami League, were injured in a factional clash at Titumir College in Dhaka today.

Two factions of BCL Titumir College unit clashed over establishing supremacy on the campus around 11:30am, said Wahiduzzaman, inspector (investigation) of Banani Police Station.

Additional law enforcers have been deployed on the campus to avert further untoward incident, the police official also said.

The injured received treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, said Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.
