At least eight people were injured in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League in Bogura yesterday night.

At least eight people were injured in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League in Bogura yesterday night.

Two BCL leaders -- Takdir Hasan Khan, joint secretary of Bogura district unit BCL and Jahid, member of Govt Azizul Haque College unit -- were stabbed during the clash, said Sub-inspector Abdul Aziz of Silimpur Medical Police Outpost.

All the injured received treatment from Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, our local correspondent reports quoting police.

Humayan Kabir, officer-in-charge of the Bogura Sadar Police Station, said activists of two groups -- Govt Azizul Haque College unit BCL and Bogura district unit BCL locked into a clash at Satmatha intersection around 9:00pm last night, leaving eight people injured.

Contacted, Abdur Rouf, general secretary of Govt Azizul Haque College unit BCL, blamed Takdir for the clash.
